Equip yourself with the skills for success

As a graphic designer or interactive media specialist, your task will be to find the most effective way of delivering a message through a visual medium. At MSB, you will receive hands-on training in technical production, visual perception and business.

  • Learn the latest software. If you pursue a graphic design career, you’ll be expected to know the tools of the trade. We’ll teach you how to use technology to manipulate digital images, create vector illustrations and animate flash banners.
  • Fine-tune your visual skills. Learn how to use shape, color, typography and visual effects to influence public opinion about a product, service or brand.
  • Understand the business behind it all. Appreciate how your work fits into the bigger picture. Study business concepts, understand how your work supports business goals and learn how to work in many different business environments.

Create a portfolio to use in your job search

In the field of creative media, employers often require job candidates to present samples of their work.  Our interactive media and graphic design students will develop a collection of work for this purpose.  They begin building their portfolios using class projects and assignments and refine them during the Portfolio Development course.
