Choose a program that fits your goals
MSB-St. Cloud offers an associate degree and a technical diploma in massage therapy. Which program is right for you?
Massage Therapy Diploma. If you want to finish your training as quickly as possible, you can earn a massage therapy diploma in just one year. You’ll learn basic massage techniques and business concepts in preparation for a career in a spa, health club, private massage practice, chiropractic office or another setting. If you choose, you can return to MSB to earn an associate degrees in massage therapy – your credits will transfer smoothly.
Associate Degree in Massage Therapy. The associate degree program includes advanced massage therapy training such as craniosacral therapy and lymph drainage as well as general education courses. This “2-year” degree program can be completed in 18 months of full-time study.
Externships and certifications to strengthen your credentials
Toward the end of the program, you will complete an externship at a salon, spa, massage therapy practice or in another real-world setting. You practice techniques learned in class and gain insight into everyday life on the job as a massage therapist. Graduates of our program are eligible to take certification exams such as these:
- The National Certification Exam of Therapeutic Massage (NCETM) provided by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)
- Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) provided by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB)
