The fundamental purpose of marketing is to send a particular message about a company or a brand. The Minnesota School of Business (MSB) Bachelor of Science in Business Management: Marketing degree program will prepare you to design messages that influence public opinion and build a positive image. Learn business fundamentals in the first two years

Years one and two of the bachelor’s in business management program cover fundamental business topics, including the following:

  • Small business management
  • Operations management
  • Managerial accounting
  • Leadership management
  • Business law
  • Supervisory management

If you have an associate degree, you may be able to satisfy those requirements through transfer courses.

Years three and four: Marketing courses

After covering broad business concepts in your first two years, you will study marketing in the third and fourth years.  Your coursework will cover topics such as the following:

  • Consumer behavior
  • Marketing strategy
  • Advertising and promotion
  • Internet marketing
  • Marketing research
  • The art of persuasion

Practice additional skills with coursework in general education
