A Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree will prepare you for management in a specific area of expertise, chosen from one of the three following areas of emphasis:
- Health Care Management. This emphasis covers advanced topics in the health care industry, including regulatory issues, personnel management, ethics and health care administration. Graduates are prepared for management positions in health care policy, health care administration, government health agencies and other health care related organizations.
- Information Technology. MSM students who focus on IT will study concepts in business leadership specific to information technology, acquiring skills for this fast-changing industry. Graduates are prepared to become managers in various areas of IT.
- Managerial Leadership. This emphasis is intended for the student with experience in a specific area of operations management. Students study advanced coursework in management principles.
You may qualify for credit toward your degree
We recognize the value of professional work experience, military training and previous college coursework. MSB grants eligible students credit for up to 50% of the program requirements based on their work experience or prior college training. We do not charge for these credits. This policy allows students to use the knowledge they have already gained to earn their degrees more quickly.
