Admissions representatives
Your first experience with Minnesota School of Business-St. Cloud will likely be with one of our friendly and knowledgeable admissions representatives. The representative’s task is to ensure that you understand the types of programs we offer and help you decide which program is best for you. Keep reading for an introduction from some of our representatives:
Candi Janssen - Director of Admissions
My name is Candi Janssen and I am the Director of Admissions for the St. Cloud campus. I have worked with Minnesota School of Business since June of 2004. I started as an admissions representative. I love working with students to help them change their lives. In December of 2006, I took over the role as Director of Admissions.
I am originally from the area and really love the "Small-Big" town atmosphere St. Cloud offers. It really is a big town, but it feels like a small town because people are so friendly and the town offers a lot. With lots of shopping, dining, outdoor events and only an hour's distance from the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, St. Cloud is a great place to live. I look forward to meeting you and working with you as a student.
Danielle Treptau
Hello! I am Dani and I work in the adult Admissions Department for Minnesota School of Business, St. Cloud campus. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications and am currently completing my Master’s in Business Administration here at MSB. I have been with MSB for one year and joined the school because of the “We Care” philosophy that is fostered. I enjoy working with people and helping them to make life changes. We understand that school is an adjustment for an adult, and although it is a priority, it is not their only priority. With our flexible schedules, hands on approach and staff willing to extend a helping hand at any time, I hope you find a home here with us and leave here feeling excited and confident about your future.
Carol Sova
Hi, I’m Carol Sova. I’m employed at the St. Cloud campus where I’ve work as an Admissions Representative since the campus’s inception. I have a strong passion for helping students achieve their goals. Sometimes that means sitting down with them and reviewing their strengths and weaknesses to assist them in selecting the best career path. Other times it involves assisting them through the various processes of being a successful student, giving encouragement or even just listening.
Jason Crandal
What I like the most about my position as an admissions representative is working in a team atmosphere, as well as independently. It is the first position I have had in which time flies and I wish there were more of it in the day. Working with prospective students allows me to meet a lot of people and assist them in a variety of ways. Every student has different needs and unique circumstances that can be challenging and rewarding to help overcome. I understand how busy life can be, how scary the economy is, what it's like to support a family, and the fears students are facing. I enjoy helping students find a program that will fit them best, helping them with career decisions, building their confidence, and watching them succeed.
Ty Goeman
I enjoy the rewards of helping students further their education and lives. Anything I can do to help a prospective or current student I will, but only if it is in their best interest. I understand the difficulties that adults face when attempting to go back to school. Most of my student’s are busy working adults that have families and intense work schedules. I enjoy overcoming the challenges of not only making school possible for these students, but empowering them to achieve their full potential and increase their incomes to a level that enables them to live comfortably. I am always more than happy to meet with potential students and share with them all the information they need to make an informed decision on whether Minnesota School of Business can help them achieve their career goals and life ambitions.
Sarah Arenkiel
My passion for bringing out the best in the individuals that I have the pleasure of meeting and visiting with is what I love most about what I do here at MSB. To be the one that believes in them and is here for them from the day they begin their future here, until - well - I guess I will always be here for my students, no matter what.
I believe that anyone can achieve the goals they have for themselves, as long as they have faith, work hard and believe that they can do it! I truly believe in the “We Care” philosophy at MSB and carry that into everything I do. A college education is priceless and working with adults who have a strong desire to better their life because of the education they receive here is an honor for me to be a part of.
Kim Plombon
Hi, my name is Kim Plombon and I am going on my 5th year with the MSB/Globe University in the High School Admissions Department. What brought me here was the opportunity to work with students. My father was a teacher for 30+ years and I have always been a firm believer of education and the MSB/Globe University philosophy. What I enjoy the most about my position is meeting students for the first time - their enthusiasm is contagious! It’s amazing to watch each student grow from the initial visit to the time they put on their cap and gown. My hope is that everyone will have the opportunity to invest in themselves with the gift of education. Our goal in admissions is to make that dream come true.
Kelsie Ludvigson
What I love about Minnesota School of Business is the philosophy that the Globe Education Network stands for - We Care! I truly enjoy meeting eager high school students and motivating them to further their education. I am eager to watch these students grow intellectually and personally.

Renee Cannon - Director of Financial Aid
I graduated from Technical Senior High School in St. Cloud, MN. I worked as a lense-grinder at Vision Ease for 6 months and decided that I would prefer a job that didn’t require standing 10 hours per day on cement. I attended the St. Cloud Business College. Shortly before I graduated, I was offered a job at the school. That position led to a career in financial aid that has spanned 33 years. During that time, I have worked in a number of schools in the State of MN, including St. Cloud State University, Rasmussen Business College and Regency Beauty Academy. All of us in the Financial Aid Department understand that financial aid can be confusing. Please, if you have any concerns at all, I am available to help. If I don’t know the answer, 33 years has at least taught me where to look for it.
