Minnesota School of Business (MSB) – St. Cloud opened in October of 2004, but the school’s history dates to 1877, when the original Minnesota School of Business (MSB) opened in Minneapolis. Since its founding, MSB has grown to include several campuses located throughout the Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul) metro area. The school also shares academic resources and corporate support with Globe University. Together they offer career training in numerous locations throughout the upper Midwest.

History of Minnesota School of Business
In 1877, Alexander Archibald founded Minnesota School of Business, offering classes in bookkeeping, shorthand, English and penmanship at a Minneapolis campus. Minnesota School of Business changed ownership and location many times throughout the following century. In 1988, Terry Myhre purchased the school. Minnesota School of Business campuses are now located throughout the state.
The GEN network
Today, Minnesota School of Business shares curriculum and resources with Globe University, which was founded in St. Paul, MN, in 1885. They are part of a larger consortium of schools, Globe Education Network, which includes Minnesota School of Cosmetology, the Institute of Production and Recording, Duluth Business University and Utah Career College.
